This calculator is a general guide only and does not constitute financial advice or a recommendation. All projections are to your nominated target age and are based solely on the assumptions you enter. Target income is inflated at 2.5% per year to reflect the cost of living at the time of financial independence. The required corpus applies the 4% withdrawal rule to the inflation-adjusted income figure. Super projections use a 6% net annual return (a balanced fund after estimated fees and earnings tax). Employer SG contributions are capped at $30,000 per year per person. Property projections use 5% per year nominal growth. Home equity at your target age is calculated by deducting the projected outstanding loan balance at that date, based on a standard principal and interest repayment assumption at 6.25% per annum over a 30-year term applied to today's loan balance. Downsize proceeds are an estimate only and depend on the property purchased, selling costs, and stamp duty at the time. The Age Pension is not modelled. Inflation beyond 2.5% is not modelled. Before acting on any result shown here, speak with a qualified financial adviser.
